Great Harvest Bread Co. has been in Bellingham for 27 years. Now in it's third location and with the second owners, Hans and Rene' Wendt, Great Harvest bakes and sells whole grain bread and sweets in its downtown Bellingham store. The breads are made from freshly ground whole grain flours which are stone milled in the store daily. About 25 varieties are baked using a variety of grains, many including, nuts, seeds, and fruits. Whole grain cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, energy bars, and pancake mix are also made at the store. While many customers shop at Great Harvest for their health or special diet needs, the bread's delicious home-made flavor is the main attraction.
